PR firm, then for webMethods, a business integration software company, then Parature, an on demand (SaaS) customer support software company.

My B.A. degree in Public Relations and Marketing from Miami University (Ohio) provided me a thorough education prior to starting my career.

In 2006 I placed 2nd out of 200+ entries nationwide in the Tech PR Idol Award competition hosted by a technology-focused PR firm in Washington D.C.

Also in 2006, I won a WebAward for Outstanding Website from the Web Marketing Association for a software client’s corporate website,
with my copywriting earning a score of 8.5 out of 10, compared to the WebAward average of 7.5 and the software category average of 7.2.

Life Outside of MarCom Ink
After growing up in Rochester, NY and going to college in Ohio, I moved to Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C., where my husband and I currently reside. A self-professed Internet addict (so many great websites, blogs, and podcasts, so little time!) and avid reader of just about whatever is in front of me, I’m also a member of Soldiers’ Angels, a volunteer organization supporting U.S. Armed Forces service members and their families. When we can break away my husband and I love to travel, whether it’s internationally, around the U.S., or just into D.C. to enjoy our nation’s capital.
